Sunday, July 5th at 2:30 PM --Summer Lecture
"Irish-American Patriots of 1776"
Join us for an informative and intriguing presentation honoring the contributions of Irish-Americans to our nation's fight for independence. This presentation will highlight the eight Irish-American signers of the Declaration of Independence, as well as share the story of John Barry - the father of the U.S. Navy.
The museum doors will open at 2:00pm, with the presentation starting promptly at 2:30pm. Admission for this special event is free, supported by the America 250 grant. Light refreshments will be served.

"815 Stone Scrubbers"
Join us for an informative and intriguing presentation. Janie Jenkin will present about the non-profit organization, 815 Stone Scrubbers, and why gravestone preservation is important. This program will feature Civil War veteran Albert McDowell, a man who was born a slave with no name. Thanks to the dedication of 815 Stone Scrubbers researchers, McDowell was discovered and given a gravestone to honor his memory. This and other stories of our early American history will be shared during the presentation.
The museum doors will open at 10:45am, with the presentation starting promptly at 11:00am. Admission for this special event is free, supported by the America 250 grant.
